🇧🇪A bakery running MplusKassa·Bakery

An in-store kiosk and online pre-orders, all running through one POS.

The morning queue shortened the moment customers could order themselves at the kiosk. For those who want to skip the line entirely: pre-order online on the bakery's own domain. Both channels land as regular tickets in MplusKassa.

The morning peak between 7:30 and 9:00 is when the shop lives or dies. Two ordering channels absorb the rush.

What they wanted

  • An in-store kiosk to speed up the morning queue.
  • Online pre-orders for customers who don't want to wait anymore.
  • A single order stream in MplusKassa so the bookkeeping stays simple.
  • Allergen info visible to customers, on the screen and in the online flow.

How it unfolded

From first conversation to live.

  1. 1

    Intake call

We map the morning peak: customers per hour, average basket size, and which items have enough stock to support a pre-order flow. We pick the right kiosk position and online time-slot system.

  2. 2

    POS partner alignment

A short integration with MplusKassa via the QApi to expose items, price groups and modifier sets to both the kiosk and the online ordering site. Allergen tags validated.

  3. 3

    Setup and connection

UpKiosk placed at the counter, plugged straight into MplusKassa. Online ordering set up on the bakery's own domain, with time-slot management and the same menu source. Staff trained briefly.

  4. 4

    Go live

First morning live, first online pre-orders within the hour. From day two, everything runs autonomously.

How we solved it

  • UpKiosk at the counter, EUR 150/month all-in, connected directly to MplusKassa via the QApi.
  • Online ordering at EUR 100/month all-in, on the bakery's own domain, with time-slot management for pre-orders.
  • One menu in MplusKassa, auto-synced to both the kiosk and the ordering site.
  • Orders land as regular tickets in MplusKassa, GKS-compliant, same reporting.
  • Allergen tags per item visible on the kiosk and ordering site, with mandatory confirmation in the flow.

Outcome

  • Faster throughput in the shop during the morning peak.
  • Customers pre-order online and pick up without waiting.
  • One order stream in MplusKassa, no second system for accounting.
  • Allergen info consistent across every channel, no verbal mix-ups.
