Pizzeria
Pizzeria orders that land complete the first time.
Base, size, toppings: customers pick everything on screen, so the kitchen gets a complete ticket. Phone and verbal orders no longer slow you down at the rush, and takeaway and dine-in both run through the same POS.
Pijnpunten
Waar je elke dag tijd verliest.
The phone interrupts the service
A customer calling to order a pizza in the middle of a busy service is always a headache. Someone has to pick up, key in the order, sort out payment. Meanwhile customers in the room are waiting and the kitchen falls behind.
Toppings get misheard
Pizza ai funghi without mozzarella, salami instead of pepperoni, half-and-half with pineapple on one side. Passing it on verbally or jotting it on a slip leads to mistakes. Every mistake is a remade pizza, wasted dough and a frustrated customer.
Taking combinations costs time
Base, size, sauce choice, cheeses, toppings, extras. A complete pizza order asks for 8 to 15 choices. Taking an order like that verbally, while three other customers are standing there, is a recipe for delays and errors.
Solution
How Upvendo solves it.
Customers build their own pizza on screen
Base, size, cheese, toppings, extras, all in the right order with the right price impact. The order rolls out complete on the kitchen printer, identical to what your staff would have keyed in. No intermediate steps.
Your own online ordering site, commission-free
Customers order from their phone for takeaway, with the same menu structure as on the kiosk. No Takeaway commission, your own domain, your own customer data. €100/month all-in, no commission per order.
Pre-order with a time slot
Customers pick a pickup time, and your kitchen plans around those slots. No 'everyone at once at 19:00', but a spread-out peak and shorter wait. For catering or party orders it works the same way for groups.
Natively connected to your POS
Lightspeed, MplusKassa, Vectron or Shopcaisse. Whatever you change in your register, menu or prices, shows up on the kiosk and the ordering site within seconds. One source, no double menu entry.
Common questions
Frequently asked
Does this work with half-and-half pizzas and complex combinations?
Yes. Modifiers in your POS decide which combinations are possible. Half-and-half with different toppings, double cheese, a different base: everything you configure in your POS menu appears correctly on the kiosk and the ordering site.
Which POS works best for a pizzeria?
Lightspeed Restaurant and MplusKassa are the most common choices in BE/NL pizzerias. Vectron and Shopcaisse also work natively. For pizzerias with their own ERP or a non-standard system, we look at the options case by case.
Will we get fewer phone orders?
In practice we see that most phone customers move to the online ordering site once it's live and made visible (QR at the counter, link in the social bio, email). Phone stays a fallback for customers who don't know any other way.
